Six Smart Women Discussing Doctor Who

VerityEpisode104Our sojourn through series 1 continues. Join Deb, Erika, Katrina, and Tansy as we talk about “The End of the World” and, to a lesser extent, “The Unquiet Dead”. (If you want a more in-depth Verity! discussion about “The Unquiet Dead”, check out episode 83.) We talk about Rose’s first proper outings with the Doctor and what they mean to that burgeoning relationship. And yes, “relationship” can mean many things to many viewers.

How do you feel about these episodes? Have your feelings changed as much as Erika’s? Were you a baby-fan like Deb the first time you watched? And how do you view the interactions of Rose and the Doctor in these early outings? Let us know in the comments!

Hooray for P.R.O.B.E. getting covered on Verity! I can’t wait and I am admittedly such a huge fan of it — guilty pleasure is guilty (I even covered it on my podcast ages ago: terminus.libsyn.com/terminus-podcast-episode-6-trust-me-i-m-not-a-doctor-spin-offs-in-the-whoniverse-pt-1). But then I’m a HUGE fan of Liz Shaw, so that’s a big part of it for me. I know Gatiss hates it and many people aren’t very keen on it in general, but its one of my fandom happy places. ❤

  2. *ugh* US-expat taxes…I feel your pain. Thanks for the accountant recommendation!
