New Verity! Extra, in which Deb forces us to make MONSTROUS CHOICES for your amusement

  2. I read the description for the show and rolled my eyes. Listened to it just now and I don’t remember laughing so much and enjoying a Verity as much as today. Always pays to listen rather than judge. Love the cast.

  3. Poor old Unearthly Child! That first episode is a classic for the ages, and am I the only person who actually likes the caveman stuff? It’s positively Shekespearean, I tell you! There’s a real sense of peril too, which the programme rarely achieved afterwards. One one level we know that our intrepid time travellers will escape, but it’s all played so grimly that it seem as though any of them could get their skulls bashed in at any moment.

The War Games is great too, but I’d find it awfully hard to throw out that first adventure.
