It’s 7th Doctor time again! Join Deb, Katrina, and Tansy as they talk about the kitschy fiftiesness that makes up “Delta and the Bannermen”. Sadly for Erika, she watched the story and was too unwell to make it onto the podcast.
How do you feel about this story? Let us know in the comments!
Special thanks to our guest editor for this episode, Steven Schapansky of Castria!

Happy things:
- Kat likes that Jodie Whittaker’s replacement on Trust Me is a Doctor Who nerd!
- Tansy is still firmly on the Big Finish train and enjoys The Diary of River Song Series 02!
- Deb is amused that Jenna Coleman nicked a number of things from the Doctor Who set!

I *just* finished watching this episode, and thought, “What did I just watch?!”. Then I thought, I wonder if they’ve discussed this on Verity. I looked on your site, and saw that you’d just discussed it. I’ll listen to your podcast tomorrow.
Goodness! A whole discussion about DatB that doesn’t mention Ken Dodd’s cringeworthy turn in Ep.1. Well done! =:o}
It’s a fun story with lots of nice moments, but also lots of moments that just make me eyeroll a bit too hard to really settle in and enjoy the ride. The satellite-hunters are just too ludicrous. Their narrative function could’ve been served equally well by giving their screen time to the characters they interact with, and letting them talk to each other: More proper character and relationship development, less leaden humour and infodumping, please!
Best bit: Ray grabbing the Doctor on the dancefloor. =:o}
2nd-best bit… “Actually, I think I might have miscalculated.” =:oo
