Six Smart Women Discussing Doctor Who

We don’t know about you, but we’ve been watching that space. And watching. And watching. In this sprightly Extra, Deb, Erika, and Kat talk about successful, and not so successful, Doctor Who marketing/teaser campaigns — what we thought worked well and what we thought was perhaps less than “iconic”.

Do you have a favorite Doctor Who promo campaign? Send us a tweet or let us know in the comments. Hey, at least it will give you something to think about while you’re watching that space.

I still love watching Doctor Who but I have to be honest and admit I don’t care when or if the new series arrives.

Sadly for me the terrible writing, childish dillution of the Doctor’s choices and poor production choices have made me consider Chibnal’s era the ‘Star Trek Enterprise’ of Doctor Who.

Such a pity as the cast is good and the Doctor is ok when she is the Doctor and not Grahsm’s companion (quite a few times Graham had the Doctor’s speeches).

I’ll continue to be a fan but I will wait to watch season 14 until AFTER you review it – if it every appears

  2. Something to add to the “why don’t they announce the schedule?” question: British TV is traditionally much less happy than the US to pause a season mid-run. We don’t generally do the thing of “Oops, this episode isn’t quite ready. Let’s just put out a random repeat episode, and then pick up the run next week”. So the schedulers are *very* reluctant to announce anything about a new season, until it’s pretty certain *all* the eps in the season will be ready to air on time.
