Keep up the good work, Verities!

  20. Wil J said:

    Great show, gang!

  21. I must say I agree with Deb that I miss in Series 11 the… extra Moffat spark? Moffat always had a bad habit of throwing in every single joke he could think of (there’s an article out there somewhere where he’s talking about the drafts of TUAT and every single one it’s ‘add more jokes’), but it gave the show so much energy that I find that it’s jarring to me that it’s not there anymore.

I agree with Tansy that the whole Melody Pond plotline could have been done better, and her AU of Series 7 with Rory and Amy raising her between adventures is such a glorious idea, I am now sad that that was not what we got.

Also, my god, 7 years? You’ve entertained and enlightened us. Thank you for your intelligent discussions, your opposition to Perceived Fan Wisdom and your ridiculously funny games.

  22. BR Norton said:

Happy 7th birthday! I really enjoy listening to the Podcast.

  23. Please, I would like this very much! Also, it’s the election in the UK today and it reminds me that listening to podcasts like yours and to Big Finish are the only things that get me through the awfulness sometimes (so I might well need some more Big Finish soon). Thank you for being a ray of light in these dark times.

  24. Sandra Smith said:

Happy anniversary! Thank you all so much for all the hard work you’ve put into this fantastic podcast, and for the tremendous amount of joy and thought it inspires. I started listening in September, and I’m nearly up to date, concerningly – I’ll just have to go back to the start and experience all the fun again!

  32. Really enjoy the podcast, looking forward to the new series. 🙂

  37. Lisa Howard-Fusco said:

SO loving the Verity! podcast! I started listening early this year and have been delving into the archives. Deb, I feel a special affinity with you as I, too, cut my teeth starting with New Who, am near the Philly area, and had all the wrong feels about Rory as the Last Centurion in a “Good Man Goes to War.” 🙂 I have been Big Finish-curious for a while now, and would be thrilled to be one of the lucky winners. What an awesome way to celebrate the anniversary of such an awesome podcast. Keep up the fabulous work, all!

  38. Paul Beattie said:

Loving the podcast, but The Caves of Androzani is not a Master story. 🙂

  39. Cynthia Henry said:

In addition to “Chimes of Midnight” I would suggest “Relative Dimensions” in which the Eighth Doctor and Lucie try to have a family Christmas with Susan and her son. I remember listening to it while driving to my Mom’s for Christmas and it was perfect!

  40. Andrew Clucasl said:

Three cheers for Verity! (the only podcast I’ve rated as 5-star – even if its the only podcast I’ve rated at all…!). My second-favourite must be… The Moment.

What might I listen to? Well, I may check out Spotify, since today’s podcast (on ‘traditions’) mentioned 50 free stories on there – but I’m considering ‘Doctors and Dragons’… (mentioned on the Tin Dog podcast episode 836, on 17th April this year).

  41. Amanda said:

Congratulations on your seventh anniversary! It’s difficult at times to find a podcast that remains interesting and informative without getting repetitive. And I absolutely love the different personalities and takes on things in this wonderful world of Doctor Who. I *may* have adopted several ideas as my personal head canon.

Thank you for all of your hard work, we fans greatly appreciate it!

  42. Congrats on your 7 years of podcasting! I love the Gallifrey Big Finish Audio plays!

  43. Erin Lauer said:

I love listening to Verity!!! Thanks for the thought provoking material and all around good time.

  44. Simon Townsend said:

Love the podcast. Intelligent, thought provoking and fun! Keep up the great work1

New whovian here. Love the podcast and enjoy listening to all the extras too. Would love some big finish to grace my “library”. Have a great and happy holiday season!!

  46. Ignacio said:

You have sold me on the convention thing. If I’d have known it was all cocktails and Prosecco parties I would have gone years ago. I think all of that must have gone right over my head when I attended my last convention in 1993 as a 12yo. I definitely missed out on the after dark antics.
Seriously though I love the podcast and can always rely on a completely fresh take on everyone’s favourite sci fi adventure family entertainment. Thanks and praise to you all for not just providing commentary but for contributions you have made to the “broadening of the church” and the fostering of diversity in fandom. Cheers

  47. Kurt Armbruster said:

None of my family have the geek gene. (Or at least none who will admit it)

So my tradition is sneaking off to watch the Christmas special on my own.

  48. Sebastian Garzon said:

I just started listening to Verity earlier this year, and now I can hardly imagine my Doctor Who experience without it. Your banter is fun, your games are fun, your commentary is deep and fascinating, and I feel a little bit smarter with every episode I hear. Can’t wait to see what the next 7 years bring!
Also, ALWAYS happy to listen to more Big Finish!

  49. I’m only a recent listener of Verity, been listening about 3 months, but I love being able to go back and listen to previous podcasts – what a wealth of Doctor Who discussion. Well done for 7 years, let’s hope for 7 more! Also a new convert to Big Finnish – so again working through the back catalogue there, so what a brilliant prize you are offering! Merry Christmas x

  50. Happy podcast birthday!
