  1. Great pick of comfort Who, Kat! I’ve always loved The Dominators for many of the same reasons brought up in the podcast. The ridiculous cuteness of Quarks, the hilarious Raga / Tober comedy act, the fun of the Jamie and Cully team-up, and the brilliant insanity of the Doctor pulling the pod apart mid-flight! Throw in the glorious scene of the Doctor playing dumb to fool the Dominators and you have a story I will gladly watch over and over simply because it makes me happy. Just as you three Verities have made me happy today listening to your love for The Dominators! Thank you! 🙂

The Dominators is my second favorite visually-surviving Patrick Troughton story because it’s fun, the cast is having fun, and the story keeps up it’s qualities all the way through.

It’s a classic example of a “we have £5 for costumes and sets, what can we reuse and pull together” design along with an adequate script that doesn’t take itself too seriously.

The only Troughton story I like more is Invasion. Yes, I like this more than Enemy of the World, The War Games and all the other surviving stories.
