  1. I’m really enjoying this series. Village of the Angels was brilliant and my favourite Flux episode so far. I can’t wait for the next episode 😍

  2. I summed it up on Facebook as follows:

    – – – – – – – –

    Well, that was quite a ride! =:oo

    Good points:
    Excellent use of established Weeping Angel characteristics/tricks. Good characters. Lots of Annabel Scholey! =:o}

    Bad points:
    … As a great man once said, “You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.”
    (Can we ban Chris Chibnall from ever using the word “quantum” again, please? =:o\ )

      I think he uses “quantum” in the same way Terry Pratchett did, as a deliberately inaccurate word used by wizards and witches to describe any scientific concept too complicated for them to bother with.

      “It didn’t matter that the machine had been switched off, the wizards said. It existed in plenty of other presents, and so worked here owing to… a lengthy sentence, which […] had words like “portal,” “multidimensional,” and “quantum” in it, “quantum” being in it twice.”

    In Flux there are many word and visual puns on Momento Mori or Time to Die. I think that may be a Chris Chibnall thing of making things sound a lot worse than they end up being.

    Paul B, I’m waiting to hear quantum 3 or 4 times in a sentence. The quantum Flux has had a quantum effect on the quantum of tea-leaves in my quantum teapot. LOL
