#AVA You are going to moderate your dream Convention Panel. What is the topic and who are you having on the panel? (Doesn’t have to be Doctor Who specific)

    • Sorry – I’m old and don’t do social media – What is #AVA??

Ask Verity Anything. It’s a question to add to their spreadsheet for next time they do an Ask Verity Anything episode.

The behind-the-scenes/supporting guest i’d like to see at a con is Graeme Harper. Not only has he directed some of the biggest and most popular stories of both eras, his history with the show goes even further back, as he first worked on the show when Patrick Troughton was the Doctor. I’d love to hear his stories not only about everything he’s done on the show, but also just working at the BBC in the ’60s and ’70s, as well as how things have changed over the years. If I were to pair him up with anyone, it would be Rachel Talalay.

  2. Thank you! Now I see it, it makes sense and it’s the right context that I could have figured it out (maybe).

I confess I found myself a little lost at points in this, you spend quite a long time outlining why certain people would be ideal for “This or That” without at any point explaining what “This or That” actually IS for those of us who haven’t been to a convention where it’s been… Played? Performed? Discussed?

Points to Deb for adding the “interpretative” category to Cosplay. Screen accurate is awesome and impressive, but the demented levels of creativity that go into someone designing a Steampunk Dalek, or a Kabuki Cyberman, or Regency inspired Sea Devil is offthe charts (To be fair, I’ve not seen those last two in real life, but now I really REALLY want to)

Also, I hate to break it to Liz but, by her own logic, she HAS to appear at the Con as a guest, since she’s a Scottish, multiple-Doctor writer for Big Finish.
