Happy 2023, everyone! This year, after 10 years of podcasting, Verity! is going to regenerate! Join Deb, Erika, Kat, Liz, Lynne, and Tansy as we all look back at the last 10 years and share some general hopes for the future! We also chat about the trailer for the Tennant-and-Tate 60th anniversary specials. Much excitement and many feels all around!
Yes, that’s right, Verity! will be taking a hiatus and making some changes, so think of this ep as the speech at the end of “Survival”, but with the knowledge that the show WILL come back again — and a lot sooner than Doctor Who did in the 80s/90s!
Many many thanks for listening, whether you’ve been with us since 2013, picked up somewhere since then, or are joining us right now! We appreciate the community that has built itself up around us, and we’re excited to regenerate into the next version of Verity! to keep bringing you thoughts and feelings about Doctor Who for a good long while to come!

10 years! Congratulations to you all for so many hours of wonderful conversation. I’ve been there from the start and have enjoyed every episode. Through your podcast I’ve learnt to free myself from received fan wisdom, to ignore negativity (but not critique) of this show that I love, and perhaps most importantly to get a better appreciation of feminism.
You’ve definitely earned a break! We will all be here when you return.

It was going to be hard to go through the empty months between now and November with no new Doctor Who. Now it’s going to be no new Verity? YIKES!!
But, you’ve earned it. 10 years is a long long time, and we usually don’t see shows last beyond a few years. Looking forward to whatever iteration you come back in. I started listening to you a couple of years ago so I’ve got lots of back log I can rely upon.

Thanks for 10 years of thought provoking and fun views of Doctor Who. Thanks for challenging a old fan’s view of the fandom through a variety of voices that prove that female fans are not a single voice, but just as all over the place as any other group.

Wow! First of all, keeping a weekly podcast going for 10 years is amazing, considering it’s made up of people living all over the world is mind blowing! Congratulations!! This is a good time to take a break, re-access, regenerate! I look forward to your future incarnations!
I’ve only recently discovered this podcast (in my defence my doctor who obsession only became all consuming last year) so while I will miss new episodes it sounds like the break is the right thing for you all to do at this time.
I’m looking forward to obsessively exploring the back catalogue and I’m excited to see/hear what you do next!

I can only echo the other comments, especialy those of James Cox! Enjoy a well deserved rest but I hope Verity is back soon. I miss my favourite Dr Who pod past, well it’s a tie between you folks and RFS!

You have been my favourite podcast. Not just my favourite Doctor Who podcast, I have no desire to bore you with a long comment, I know Verity Therapy is real and very personal for you, but it is some powerful magic, Verity Therapy helped me when I was struggling, I learned so much and loved the times you made me think hard about my own stupid opinions. Thank you, thank you a million times for all of the hard work, I am going to miss you all and can’t wait to hear about the exciting things you’ve enjoyed when you do comes back again. I hope life showers you all with joy, delight, comfort, and the things you need.
Thank you for ten years of giving us women’s voices talking about Doctor Who, something that is still much harder to find than men’s voices. In case you were wondering, your fans still miss you and really, really want you back, in whatever form you take! You are not forgotten! I’ll just have to keep finding episodes I missed along the way to get my Verity! fix until then. Best to all of you, hope to hear from you soon!
