And with that, series 12 comes to an end! Join Erika, Katrina, and Tansy as we talk about how our canon has regenerated once again. We dig into many possibilities and also try to help Kat figure out exactly how she feels about this story and why. Trail mix, anyone?

It’s hard to talk about the first part of a two-parter when it doesn’t really wrap up anything! Join Deb, Katrina, and Lynne as they discuss Brendan and the Doctor and her relationship with her companions and their feelings about her and a proper-scary Cyberman and the Master and ALL OF IT.
What did you think of “Ascension of the Cybermen”? Drop us a tweet or let us know in the comments!
A Verity! first — a live-in-person recording at Gallifrey Oneabout an episode of Doctor Who! Join Deb, Erika, Katrina, and Liz as we discuss the episode we watched in a room full of fellow Doctor Who fans. Gally is always a wonderful, but thoroughly exhausting experience, so please forgive the mistaken episode number in the intro. We swear we didn’t slip 72 episodes into the future.
What did you think of “The Haunting of Villa Diodati”? Drop us a tweet or let us know in the comments!
Our Happy things all happened here at Gallifrey One, so be on the lookout for tickets for next year’s convention. They’re going on sale in just a couple weeks!
It’s a rare on-location Verity! with an even-rarer special guest! Join Erika, Liz, and returning guest, Caroline Symcox as we discuss part one of the season finale story. It was some intense Doctor Who, and we have some intense reactions to it. We also have some wacky theorizing.
Warning: Wacky theorizing may cause disappointment when the show doesn’t do what the wacky theory said it might. Or, at least, it will if you’re Liz.
How did this part-one-of-two strike you? What are your theories? Tell us in the comments!
And with that, it’s over–for another six weeks, anyway. Series 8 has come to a close, and its final episode has rather a lot to chew over. Join Deb, Erika, and Katrina as we delve into some of those elements: Missy/The Master, Clara as the Doctor, the evolution of lying, the self-realization of the Doctor… There are so many elements, however, that some of them will be left for next week, when we have many Verities to talk about the whole shebang–it’s our Series 8 wrap-up!
What did you think of the series finale? Was it a perfect culmination of a fantastic series? A fitting culmination for a lousy series? Or something in between? Let us know in the comments!
Erika can’t wait for Liz’s upcoming book in the “Chicks Dig” series, Companion Piece!
Somehow I’ve been tricked into making a list that ties into this week’s Verity! How did this happen? Being awake at two in the morning, when bravado and confidence that, dammit, of course I know what Cyberman story’s better than what convinced me it was a good idea.
Well then, here it is; a list of Cyberman stories in order of Cyberman Greatitude.
In fact, it’s two lists; one for the classic series and one for the new series. Why? Because, dear reader, if I plonked them all into one list you might get the distinct impression that I was smidgen unimpressed by the new series Cybermen. Which is true, but I’m cunningly disguising that fact by splitting up these rankings.
Now, if you’re a sharp one, you’ll have spotted the one flaw in this otherwise brilliant plan: I’ve just told you what I’ve done. That is true, I have. Now let us move on… (more…)
You had to know we’d get here sooner or later. How could one of the most iconic villain races in Doctor Who not rate their own episode? Join Deb, Erika, Liz, and Lynne as we talk about the troublesome tin men. From their humble origins to their totally-different new-series origins, we touch on all the bits that make the Cyber race so fascinating to us. We may not all be “TeamCybermen” like Deb is, but they definitely have a place in each of our hearts. We even (surprise, surprise) mention Big Finish a few times, and Lynne’s husband Michael makes an accidental surprise appearance talking about a subject that’s very important to…well…some of us.
